HORSES AT COLUMBUS TRACK Expect to Have 300 Thoroughbreds Available for Meeting Opening April 21. OOLFMBFS. Ohio. April 10.— Horses from New Orleans. Mobile and Havana have assembled here at Beulah Park, where racing begins Saturday. April 21. that stable managers reported on Sunday occupancy of 128 stalls, plus those required for tack and feed rooms. If a fair per centage of other reservations are taken up there will be 300 hirses available for the meeting. Eighty-four of those present, when the census indicated was taken, spent the winter in Cuba. The nine of J. A. Parson make up the largest stable. Thirty came direct from New Orleans and the other fourteen got in from Mobile Sunday. H. W. Barnes sent six from New Orleans. J. E. Brown and It. V. Haymaker each brought four. The Anderson and Warfield stables comprised the majority of the Mobile shipment. When this meeting was planned it was figured that not many two-year-olds would report. Seven are here. Charles Houbre came with Homer from New Orleans a week ago. Saturday Harry II SJimh. from the same track, unloaded Cecelia. Dr. F. H. Sevin in the same car had Patsy Howe and Frances Sharpe. Buck Jones and Berniee Childs were listed as the property of Barry brothers. Saisie appeared Sunday with the Anderson six. Columbus weather, as has been the rule over the entire country, has been of the in-and-out brand. Some galloping was done over the track hist week, but it was formally thrown open to trainers Monday. Building and fencing contractors are not yet out of the way, but the end of their work is in sight. Fred Oerhardy, presiding judge elect, is expected to report the last of this week.
