t • . t | , 1 • $ I THIRTY LEADING OWNERS | A year of untold prosperity fur American horsemen is indicated in the returns for the first four months of 1923. Already all of the thirty leading money-winning owners have eich won in excess of ,000, while just one-half of them have accounted for 0,000 each. This is remarkable when it is considered that none of the big spring stakes have been decided as yet. At the head of tl e list is C. B. Irwin with 8,690 to his credit. His success at Tijuana was phenomenal and though he will undoubtedly be displaced as the largest money winner of the year, there is only a remote chance for any either racing establishment to win more races than the Wyoming turfman with the big total of eighty-five already to his credit. J. K. L. Ross is secor.d on the list and with a good start of 9,030 accumulated during the winter should figure prominently throughout the year. W. Daniel, Winfrey Brothers and E. K. Bryson are others who did well during the winter months.
