May 5— Frederick Johnstons Kentucky Derby candidate Nassau was given a gallop at one mile and an eighth this morning and the son of Nassovian created a fine impression by the evenness in which he accomplished his task. He covered the distance in 1 :5S%. His fractional time was 2:.".-.. 35%, -IS-o. 1:15%, 1:29% 1:42% and 1 :55%. Actuary, under the direction of Pete Coyne, went a similar distance and covered the route in exactly the same final time. He was driving hard for the last part of the workout.
