Bradley was well pleased over the results of the present meeting. The attendance has been wonderful, even on the inclement days." said Mr. Bradley, "and while the meeting will show no profit, we are highly encouraged with the results. Fall racing in Lexington is more profitable and we expect next autumn to have a banner meeting and will strive to bring here the best horses in training." Mr. Bradley intimated that the Kentucky Association would request the Pacing Commission to grant it ten days racing next fall. While the betting did not come up to the expectations of the management, there was no justifiable complaint on this score. The public was unacquainted with the form of the horses, and the minor tracks, as well as an absence of many easteners. who formerly came here for a few days, lessened the action to some extent. Several prospective crack juveniles were uncovered, but the more highly regarded ones will make their debut at Louisville and Latonia. Among those juveniles that performed fairly impressively were. Battle Creek, Battle Bent. Klvina, I-ester Docter, IMna V. and Black Cold. Edna V. scored double, including the Tobacco Stakes. J. Corcoran led the riders, with W. Kelsay close follower. Garner, Pool, Kennedy and several others rode well. The meeting was marked by the initial appearance in Kentucky of William Hamilton and William Snyder as starters, succeeding their late chief. A. B. Dade. Snyder wielded the flag for the first five days and Hamilton, the latter half of the meeting. Both men made a favorable imprpssion by their good work. They will alternate at Churchill Downs and Latonia as they did here, Snyder starting the first half of the meeting and Hamilton concluding. . «
