ROCKING HORSE, a good jumper, was saved for most of the race, but was beaten from the last jump and won only because the two leaders met with mishaps at that obsracle. MANAGER MIRTH jumped well, but lacked speed. BRONZE EAGLE lost his rider at the sixth jump, but was remounted aud passed I.LOOR in the last turn of the field. BILLY BARTON was fractious when taken on the track and ran away at top speed for a haU! mile the reverse way of the track and was pulled up in the race. HEELTAPS showed great early speed in pa coma king and in a game finish outstayed FLAGSTAFF. The latter is n slow beginner which gained gradually on the outside and uutfinished MOONRAKER.
