This latest *• bill was introduced by Senator Daniel Web- g ster of Chicago. It provides for a racing commission of five, to be appointed by the Governor. h The commission is to make its own rules and regulations. There is no salary at- taehed except ,000 for the secretary. in h The commission is to have full jurisdiction over all running race meetings in which r an admission fee is charged, every club or a association which holds a meeting must pay a a a per diem tax of ,500, which is to be credited to the road fund of the state. Bonds I of 00,000 must be given. State and county-fair associations are exempt from the act. s No provisions are made for betting of any s kind. o of "Associations licensed by this commission • shall not furnish poolrooms, handbooks, their agents, or any individual any information whatever in regard to racing, or permit to be furnished from their course such information." No telegraph or radio systems are to be allowed on the grounds. * ,
