JAMAICA NEWS BRIEFS NEW YORK, N. Y., May 16. Harry Shields has purchased Sarsaparilla from the Keystone Stable. C. W. Reynolds claimed Cloughjordan out of the first race for ,800. J. Bauer was an arrival from Maryland with the platers Natural, The Roll Call and Johnny Dundee. Scott Harlan, trainer of the horses of the Greentree Stable, made his first New York appearance. He has been racing in Maryland with a division of the stable. The drawing for the three sample jumpers 1 that were recently imported was held this • morning and Joseph E. Davis took Jobber Lock; Fane Lady went to Robert L. Gerry, and Silver King was awarded to Joseph E. Widener. There were four carloads of horses arrived 1 at Eelmont Park from Pimlico Monday. Two of the cars carried the horses of the ; den Riddle Farm, one other was used for • the horses of Edward R. Bradleys Idle Hour . Stock Farm and the fourth was a mixed I consignment of different owners. Jockey Clifford Robinson has been engaged 1 by trainer Preston Burch of the Nevada 1 Stock Farm Stable to ride General Thatcher in the Kentucky Derby. C. W. Reynolds claimed Cloughjordan for r ,800.
