LORD BYNG AT THE RACES Governor -General of Canada Will Attend Opening at Woodbine Park on Saturday. TORONTO, Ont.. May 16.— His excellency Lord Byng of Vimy, governor-general of Canada, will arrive in Toronto Friday and will attend the opening .f nu-ing at the Woodbine Park on Saturday afternoon. While in Toronto his lordship will be escorted by detective sergeants William Nutsey and Charles Taylor of the local detective force. Chief Inspector Beatty will again be in charge of the local police at Woodbine luring race week. There will also be the usual squad of linkertons on hand. The sixty-fourth running of the Kings I Iiate will be held ;tt Woodbine on Saturday and the prospects are for a field of ten or eleven. They will all receive their final preparatory trials tomorrow. The Thorncliffe Stable pair. Trial Blazer and Ocean Crest, are the public choices. Other contenders are Charles Millars Rallim, J. C Fletchers Cheeihako, Mrs. Livingstons Amber Fly. the Seagram Stables Flowerful and H. Gid-dings Honey JeweL
