TOP GALLANTS FAST RACE LONDON, England, May 16. — Lord Pen~ rhyns Top Gallant, a chestnut son of Swyn-ford and Galante. won the Newmarket Stakes, with ,000 added, at Newmarket this afternoon. He beat the Aga Khans Teresina easily by a length and a half, while the Duke of Westminsters Twelve Pointer was third. The Newmarket Stakes is run over a straight course of a mile and a quarter. Top Gallant covered the distance in 2 :00. Top Gallant appears to be about the best of the three-year-olds in England, but unfortunately has no classic engagements. Among the supposed cracks that finished behind the placed horses in the Newmarket Stakes were Duncan Gray, Star Chamber, Whitsun and Apron. Top Gallant was the favorite at 5 to 4.
