CORAL REEF had a clear course on the outside and. racing into the lead while rounding the last turn, held the race safe thrcugh the stretch. CLOUGHJORDAN was in close quarters in the early running, but slipped through next to the rail in the stretch and outfinished TICKLISH. The latter was a f«,rward contender all the way. but tired near the finish. ANT1IJ.ES was forced to race wide on the turns and tired in the closing strides. WHIRLWIND raced in closest pursuit all the way, but tired when called on and could never improve his position. ROMPING HOME was a forward contender from the start, but tired badly in the stretch. TONY BEAU liegan slowly, but worked his way up en the inside under hard riding and, coming fast through the stretch, got up to win drawing clear in the last few strides. FINALITY, showing the most speed, set a good pace to the last eighth, but tired badly in the final drive. PICNIC raced well and finished gamely. JOCOSE tired after going well for three quarters. The latter set a tremendous pace and raced ANNA MARRONE II. into defeat in the first three eighths, but could not withstand the winners challenge. ANNA MARRONE II. was a forward contender to the stretch turn and tired. LADY DIANA met with iuterfTenro shortly after the start and displayed speed, but was not persevered with when beaten.
