SEASTAKE began slowly, but closed a gap and, finishing fast, took the lead in the last sixteenth, but barely lasted to outstay the fast-coming FEHRAH. The latter began fast, but dropped back cn the backstretch, then came past the leaders after entering the homstretch and would have won in another stride. MOLLIE R. was cased up while retting the pace and tired after racing MISS LEGGO into defeat. HELEN COOK showed early speed. BELLE ISLE was eased up when beaten. BRIAR SWEET was always outrun. Won easily; second and third driving. RAFFLES took the lead at once and, setting a fast pace, won all the way. KNIGHTHOOD was always closest to the leader and came slightly wide when entering the hemestretch, but finished fast and gamely. HEAVY ARTILLERY passed AL HOTFOOT in the stretch, but was doing his best to outfinish YALTA. The latter finished fastest of all. ETHEL CLAYTON began well, but was taken up and no effort made to persevere with her. BESSIE FELIX ran off two miles while on the way to the post and the starter dispatched the others without her. ELIAS O. raced into the lead while rounding the first turn and set a good pace to the end, but was being ridden hard through the final eighth to maintain his advantage. VENNIE raced close up and, saving much ground when entering the homestretch, responded gamely to hard riding, but could not get up. GRAY GABLES began well and dropped back while going to the first turn, was then taken to the outside and came extremely wide when entering the homestretch, but finished fast when too late. BABY MINE raced in closest early pursuit of the winner and tired in the last quarter. BLARNEY STONE, fractious at the barrier, finished fast. FREEZY SNEEZY quit. Overweights Freezy Sneezy, 2 pounds. ROYAL VISITOR rushd into the lead on the first turn and set a good pace to the last eighth, but his heavy impost told in the final drive. PUSH PIN ran well and outgamed DELLAHM in the stretch drive.
