t c t j 1 j 1 1 , LATEST RACING GOSSIP FROM LATONIA J. L. Paul has also decided to ship som of his horses to the West Virginia track. Arthur Board came over from Louisville to see his. good colt Dobson start in the second race. Several of the eastern visitors and many from Chicago remained over to witness more of the racing here. Williams Bros, have arranged to ship a portion of their stable to Huntington, W. Va,, to race at that meeting. T. C. McDowell has arranged to dispose at public auction of twelve of his horses in training in the Latonia paddock next Saturday. Miller Henderson has secured second call on jockey J. Pevic and third call on the boys services has been taken by Rome Respess. W. F. Glenn has sold the three-year-old Dr. Glenn to C. H. Knebelkamp and the colt ran in the colors of his new owner in the third race today. Kay Spence has engaged stabling room at Pimlico and will ship the Audley Farm Stables horses to that track at the termination of the Latonia meeting. Negotiations for the transfer of the crack Wise Counsellor are still pending. John S. Ward, the prospective purchaser, has had tho colt examined by Dr. McCullough, who came on from the East last Saturday for the purpose. J. C. Milam has arranged to race a portion of his big stable at Huntington and will send fifteen head to that plant Tuesday morning. J. J. Flannigan and S. J. Kelley are the other owners that intend racing at Huntington. Trainer Tom Healey decided to ship Vigil in company with the other eastern-owned ones that came here to start in the 0,000 Kentucky Special. His ailment is said to be in his foot and he will be racing again after a short let up. Trainer A. L. Kirby has shipped five of Jefferson Livingstons yearlings to Churchill Downs, and after that meeting they will be sent to New Orleans together with the remainder of the Livingston stable to be raced at the Fair Grounds. Megan, Capt. Kinnarney and Coley Mc-Devitt, the property of Kahn and Theisen and trained by Bob Frakes, will be offered for sale. Frakes traded Winter Blossom to he breeder, E. F. Pritchard, for a yearling brown colt by Mint La Dotte. E. R. Bradley entertained almost 100 guests at his Idle Hour Farm Sunday. They witnessed the final trials of the big band of Idle Hour Farm-bred youngsters and were much impressed with their performances; Mr. Bradley is enthusiastic over the prospects for cutting a wide swath in next years racing with his new material.
