BELCROSS was a forward contender from the start and, finishing gamely under a hard hand ride wore HILARITY down and won in the last stride. HILARITY displayed excellent speed and havine raced EBONY BELLE into defeat, took the lead in the stretch, but was tiring at the end DEPUTY had a clear course throughout and finished gamely. EBONY BELLE set a fast early pace and raced jn the inside all the way, but was in tight quarters at the eighth-post and tired when called on LITTLE THISTLE raced well. ORAN moved up menacingly in the stretch, but was tiring in the final strides. SCARE CROW raced close up all the way. SUPER suffered from much interference and was pocrly ridden, but finished as if the best. DIVERSITY quit. IRENE SWEENEY was hard ridden for the entire race. GEX quit early. BRACADALE, away forwardly, was saved until in the last eighth, where he took the lead, but tired and gave way when challenged. SWINGALONG set a fast pace, but tired in the last eighth. GYPSY KING and THE WORLD wrts cased up near the end.
