BATSMAN, close up from the start, raced past DEAR MARIA on the last turn and, taking the lead, drew away in the final eighth. ABU BEN AHDEM raced forwardly and made a game finish. BONNIE OMAR worked his way up gradually and outgamed BRIGGS BUCHANAN in the final drive. The latter ran well throughout. DEAR MARIA quit after setting a fast early pace. Wen easily; second and third driving. CHUCKLE, after being saved for the first turn of the field, gained steadily and. joining the leaders in the last half mile, forced ARMENUS wide when going to the final jump and, outjumping the latter, drew away on the flat. FLYING FROG raced into close up contention in the last turn of the field and finished gamely. ARMENUS jumped well and ran a good race, bat suffered from interference at the last jump. WILKES-BARRE was knocked sideways at the start, but gained rapidly on the backstretch and, passing MISS CERINA in the last eighth, was going away fast at the end. The latter was hard ridden all the way, hut tired slightly after racing to the lead and just lasted to withstand the rush of FAITH. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. GOLDEN RULE moved up to the leaders with a rush, but tired in the final drive. SATELLITE went well for five-eighths and quit badly. JOHN PAUL JONES tired. Scratched 73293 Opperman, 105. MAINMAST, clear of interference, forced a fast early pace and, gaining-steadily, raced into the lead at the eighth post and drew away to win easing up. HIDDEN JEWEL set a fast pace and, saving ground on the turns, responded gamely when challenged. EXCUSE ME ran well and held the others safe for third place. FREDERICKTOWN began slowly and closed up steadily in the stretch drive. WHIRLWIND qcit after going well for five-eighths. ALADDIN was as good as left. LADY MYRA, a clcse up contender frcm the start, was saved in close pursuit of THE ROLL CALL to the stretch, then came fast on the outside and, racing into the lead in the stretch, was going away at the end. THE ROLL CALL was much used in racing with VENKIE in the early running and tired in the final drive. OVERTAKE finished gamely and outstayed VENNIE in the final drive. The latter raced well, but was tiring. VALLEY OF DREAMS and TRAJANUS were always out paced. LADY ZEUS made up ground and finished with a belated rush. SEA MONARCH sprinted into a long early lead and gave way when challenged, but finished gamely and saved third place. EL JESMAR tired under his impost. BIGGER STILL quit after being prominent in the early racing. CLEAN GONE was as good as left. ROUEN ran a bad race.
