LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS The sensational apprentice rider I. Parke Is lucky as well as a skillful jockey. It was his luck and not his skill that kept him at the top of the jockey list last week. Young Parke was absent from the saddle because of a ten-day suspension and it appeared an almost certainty that P. Walls, who was only three mounts behind Parke, would regain tlie leadership. But heres where Parkes luck entered the picture. Walls did not ride even one winner though he had some twenty odd mounts. However, while the scores of Parke and Walls remained unchanged, Earl Sande made a substantial gain when he rede six winners and tied Walls for second place. L. McAtee had the top score of last week, seven, and is fourth on the list with an advantage of five winning mounts over L. McDermott, who rode four winners last week. Another jockey passed the century mark when J. Wallace rode four winners last week, bringing his total up to 102.
