MODNA was taken back sharply early and ridden wide just before reaching the stretch, but came fast through the stretch to win going away. BEN BOLT ran a good race and was going fast at the end. THE LEOPARD came from far back in the last quarter after coming wide on the stretch turn. ORLOVA showed speed, but was tiring after reaching the last eighth. BEN VALET closed a gap and tired badly in the stretch. SEWELL COMBS set a fast pace and quit. WINDING THROUGH was done after going the first half. DUDLEY raced into the lead with a rush and, setting a fast pace to the end, outstayed GRAEME at the end. GRAEME came with a rush after going a half mile and was under slight restraint at the end. WILMER THE WIZARD was taken back in the first half and saved, but had to be ridden hard to outstay FRANKMAN. The latter ran a good race. MOMS BOY ran well. The latter closed a gap in the stretch and finished fast. ROMPING MARY was far back in the early racing and had to be ridden hard to outstay LIERRE. The latter was tiring in the stretch, but finished gamely. RUSTEM caused a bad jam soon after the start and raced into a good lead, but tired badly in the last quarter.
