R. L. GERRY TESTIMONIAL Jockey Club Adopts a Resolution in Appreciation of His International Race Work. NEW YORK, N. Y., Jan. 22. It was largely through the instrumentality of Robert L. Gerry that interest was aroused here in international racing and the members of the Jockey Club", recognizing this fact, have just sent him an illuminated resolution as a souvenir. The resolution, which is engrossed and mounted on white satin moire, enclosed in a leather folder, and will be something for Mr. Gerry and his descendants to treasure, follows: "At a meeting of the Jockey Club, held at the office of the club, 6G West Fortieth street, New York City, Thursday, September 27, 1923, at 4 oclock p. m., it was, upon motion, unanimously "RESOLVED That the Jockey Club tenders to Robert Livingston Gerry, esq., most sincere thanks for his liberal and truly sportsmanlike suggestion, and that further tue Jockey Club inscribes on these minutes its appreciation of the loyal and unvarying support afforded byMr. Gerry to the development of the thoroughbred horse and the best interests of the turf as well as to his untirirjg efforts in bringing about the International Cup race."
