Won easily; second and third driving. FIRE ROY was rushed into a long lead at once and, under hard riding, held it gamely through the stretch and outstayed RARRISTER. The latter began slowly, but gained steadily and was running 1 fastest at the end. FAUSTO raced forwardly all the way, but was a distant third. BLACKOLIA closed a gap. VULTILLA began tiring after racing into the lead in the stretch. BELLE K. fought it out gamely in the stretch and was going fast at the end. TELESCOPE, forced to go wide on the turns, finished gamely. TIGHT tired badly in the last eighth. LADY CHOCO closed a gap and tired in the stretch. QUINHAM bled and was eased up in the last eighth. The latter began from an outer position and, when tiring, swerved out and just managed to outstay BRADLEYS TONEY. The latter might have won but for suffering from -interference and ran a good race. Won driving; second and third the same. DEADLOCK took the lead nt once and showed the mcst speed for the entire race, but had to be ridden hard in the last eighth to outstay DUSTABOUT. The latter seemed to sulk in the early racing, but moved up fast, although forced to race wide on the last two turns, and was wearing the winner down steadily at the end. TONY BEAU ran well throughout the race. WINNER TAKE ALL tired in the stretch. RAFFLES quit after racing in closest pursuit to the stretch.
