FAIR GROUNDS NOTES Morris Moe Simons, an apprentice from Brooklyn, N. Y., is an applicant for a license. Tody, winner of the sixth race Friday, has been placed on the schooling list by starter Hamilton. W. J. Moore, banker and breeder of Llano, Texas, is an arrival and plans to spend a fortnight here. A. W. Simeral, with the five-year-old mare Grace Denny, is an arrival and is quartered at Jefferson Park. Seventy-five horses were excluded from Mondays program, sixty-three coming out of the second race. W. Rawley is an applicant for a trainers license. He is to train Translate, recently purchased by I. B. Ruth. IT. M. Howard, who has a small but select stable here in the care of "Bub" May, will arrive here the early part of the week on his annual visit. John Troxler has purchased the mare Bijou from Charles Houbre at a private sale. Bijou will be shipped to J. S. Wiggins farm, near Lexington, to be bred to Atwell".
