PIEDMONT raced prominently from the start and came fast " in the last sixteenth after badly interfering with EXCHANGE. The latter showed the mcst speed to the last eighth, then suffered from much inerference and tired. ROYAL CHARLIE only ran fairly well and had no mishaps. AMITY CLAIM was far back all the way. The latter ran well, hut had to be ridden wide from the start. costing her much ground, and tired near the end. POOR SPORT was hard ridden all the way and finished gamely. SIMPLICITY showed speed, but began tiring in the stretch. RUBY was always out-raced. SAGAMORE closed a big gap in the last eighth when of no use. SWEEPSTAKES was away slowly, but gaining steadily and, finishing fast, would have won in a few strides more. JOHN FINN was away poorly, but moved up steadily in the stretch and cutstayed LORENA MARCELLIA. The latter was badly outrun, but finished gamely. INVICTUS set a fast early pace, but quit in the last eighth. OUI OUI was away too poorly to have much chance with her inexperienced rider. SEDGE-FIELD set a good pace, but tired after leading to the last turn. SOLISA had no mishaps. BARRACUDA and LORD GRANITE were far back after going the first quarter and ran poor races.
