QUIVERO had to be taken back several times when suffering from interference, but came around the others just before reaching the stretch and, racing into a long lead, won in a canter. TROUTWICK showed the most speed to the stretch and was clear of interference all the way. THE FENIAN closed a big gap and got up in the last stride for third place. GLADYS V. ran a good race. ARROWHEAD was shuffled back after the start, but- benefited by a close stretch turn, where the other contenders came wide and, finishing gamely, outstayed PAUL MICOU. The latter was going well when he followed DAN ROLLING out on the stretch turn and tired near the end. DAN ROLLING set a fast pace and was in the lead when he bolted on the stretch turn, but came again in the last eighth. STARGO saved much ground on the turns and finished gamely. CARNARVON tired. SWEEPSTAKES was" close up throughout, but had to be ridden wide in the last quarter. BUCK POND ran a good race, but tired in the last sixteenth. FLINT STONE was forced to be taken back soon after the start and was cut off when he tried to get through next to the inner rail, but came around the others on the stretch turn and came fast through the stretch into the lead and won drawing clear. REVENGE saved much ground on the stretch turn and finished fast and gamely. DR. CLARK showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. THE ROLL CALL stumbled at the start and was away poorly, but raced into a contending position in the first quarter and tired.
