STAR GIRL had an outer position and was forced to race wide, but stood a hard drive reso- , lutely and was gaining at the end. FLAVIA was in close quarters through the last eighth, but finished , well. ROKOMAR ran a good race and saved much ground where possible. MAURICE came fast through the last quarter and passed into the lead when an eighth out. but tired in the final drive. DOUGHNUT also came swiftly through the stretch and got up in the last stride for third place. GORDON SHAW ran Well and finished cltse up. OLD SINNER had no mishaps. PRINCE WELLES finished fast. "BRILLIANT CAST ran a good race and came fast in the last eighth. INVICTUS. almost left at the post, closed an immense gap and raced as if best. QUEEN CHARMING was speedy, but began tiring in the last sixteenth. LEATIIERWOOD and SHINE ON showed good speed for three-eightlw. LADY MARIAN was away poorly and closed a big gap. SANDS OF PLEASURE, well ridden, began slowly, but came around the others with a rush just before reaching the stretch and, racing into the lead, held BENDITA safe. The latter met some interference in the early running and finished fast and gamely. ROHK tired after setting a good pace to the stretch. RUPEE ran well to the stretch and tired.
