FAIR GROUNDS NOTES La Drole was purchased at a private sale Saturday by Ray Scherer from Sam Louis. Tingling was sold during the day by E. K. Bryson to J. J. Russell for a private consideration. Scratches were few Saturday, only eight withdrawals being recorded, live coming out of the closing race. There were fifty-five throwouts from Mondays card, eleven of which bad to be dropped from the juvenile dash for maidens. D. C. N. Finch, veterinary specialist, who operated on a half dozen or more horses during the week for wind trouble, departed Saturday night for his home at Jefferson-ville, Ind.
