BLACK GOLD WORKS WELL NEW ORLEANS, La., March . Black Gold, the slashing son of Black Toney-Useeit, favorite for the Louisiana Derby, galloped a mile at Jefferson Park Saturday morning. With former jockey Charlie Aker up, Black Gold ran at a brisk clip, but was under restraint throughout. Horsemen "clocked" him a mile in 1:47. The colt came out of his trial in splendid condition.
