Won handily; second and third driving. LADY ROSE took the lead at once and, showing the most speed, led throughout and was under mild restraint at the end. LONGBOAT raced forwardly from the start, stood hard riding gamely in the stretch and finished well. JULIA M "was ridden wide on the turns, but came fast in the stretch. TI1EO ran a line race and closed a big gap. STARGO tired badly. OBCU3 was running gamely at the end. HONOR MAN was away slowly and always far back. PATRICIAN and RAPID DAY quit. Won driving; second and third the same. PATHAN was away slowly, but gained steadily and, finishing with a rush next to the inner rail, got up to win in the last few strides. STAKE ME also was forced to come wide through the last quarter, but ran a fine race and only succumbed in the last stride. QUEEN CHARMING raced forwardly and finished gamely. EXTRA EDITION clcscd an immense gap in the last quarter and was going fastest at the end. BUCK POND set a good pace to the stretch and tired. EVERGLADE and BRILLIANT CAST quit in the stretch. ESCARPOLETTE closed a big gap and came with a rush through the last eighth. ROYAL DUCK was far back in the early running, but gained steadily in the stretch and was gcing fast at the end. BUCADO set the early pace, but began tiring in the last eighth. RICHELIEU raced into the lead, but quit in the stretch. RUSTEM was jumped on on the first turn and dropped to the rear. FREEZY SNEEZY was under hard restraint for the first mile, but failed to respond well when called on. ASHLAND was done after going three-quarters. SOVIET raced poorly. Scratched 77189 Sea Cove, 107. DAY LILLY appeared sora when going to the post and tired in the stretch. THE CHAMBERLAIN ran welL ILENA was done after going a half mile. BLACK HACKLE was far back all the way.
