TIP ON THE GRAND NATIONAL Blackthorn, the Dublin correspondent of the London Sportsman, is responsible for this : A friend of mine who is not more superstitious than the average man in the street, has backed Soldier Bill for the Grand National because, as he said, he "saw him in a dream winning in a canter; as a matter of fact, ho was the only horse to finish the course." His bet is 52,500 to ?12.50.
