DEATH TAKES OLD TURFMAN TORONTO ONT., March 12. The death occurred Monday of probably the oldest horseman in Canada in Charles Ray, father of Nat Kay, the well-known horseman. Born in Whitby seventy-seven .years ago, the deceased was identified with horses practicaily his whole life until a few years ago, when he retired owing to ill-health. In his younger days he rode thoroughbreds when mile heats were the popular style of racing. He then became a trainer of thor-I oughbreds and scored many notable triumphs. I
