LUDGATE FARM ENTERS LIST R. J. Lovell Has Thoroughbreds in Training for Racing Season in Canada and United States. TORONTO, ONT., March 12. Another thoroughbred breeding establishment can" be added to the list in the Province of Ontario. R. J. Lovell of Ludgate Farm, Blythwood road, imported last year a son of Swynford St. Bcgoe, named Gauntley. This youngster is a. fine type of horse, solid in body and stands sixteen hands a beautiful chestnut. Ho is the only get of Swynford in Canada at the present time. Swynford, a son of John o Gaunt is one of the outstanding producers in England today. Another importation at the Ludgate Farm is Dunelm, which performed creditably through the field in the Old Country. Serus, by Sobiliski Sanyora, is a strong-looking brown three-year-old with lots of good bone. This is a probable Plate entry, lie has never had any experience, but is reported to have shown speed. Mover of Men is a racy-looking miss that was purchased from the Livingston Farm. This two-year-old daughter of Lovelie makes up the string of this stable. Trainer J. W. Barbour will.have charge and jockey Johnny Austin will probably do the riding. It is the intention of Mr. Lovell to gather together a number of high-class broodmares.
