D. finished fast and outstayed NOTENOUGH. The latter, beginning from the extreme outside, quickly raced up into forward contention, but tired in the final seventy yards and had to be hard ridden to save third place. MINSTREL BOY saved ground when turning for home and finished fast and close up. MISSION PEAK closed a big gap from a slow beginning. PARNELL tired. Scratched 77S34 Millwick, 118. FINIS GLORIOSUS beat the gate and. after racing KING BELLE into defeat and taking a long lead in the stretch, tired badly when challenged. VIRGINIA HOLLAND closed a big gap. KING RKLLB showed her usual early speed, but quit badly in the final eighth. The others lost all chance at the start. SMILING, following in closest pursuit all the way, easily saved second place. PAVLOWA ran well, but finished tiring and barely saved third place. MILDRED RUTH closed a gap in a fast finish. JUNE FLY, after being a distant follower, moved up steadily after rounding the far turn and, finishing fast, got up to win in the last stride. LADY LILLIAN, after following the pacemaker, took the lead when a sixteenth out, but tired right at the end. TEN BUTTONS raced into a long lead while setting a moderate pace and, while racing under stout restraint, suddenly darted to the outside when turning for home and finished almost on the extreme outside.
