1 CHICAGO BREEDING SAMPLE Leona Farm Contributes a Filly Foal of Aristocratic English Lineage on Both Sides. A fine filly foal, by Sunstar La Dauphine. is reported by Leona Farm, at Cary, 111. This latest addition to the locally owned thoroughbred establishment was foaled on March 13. La Dauphine is a chestnut mare, seven years old, by The Tetrarch Sebenico, and was imported from England in January of this year. La Dauphine is the only mare by Tho Tetraich known to have dropped a foal in America. Her dam, Sebenico, is by William the Third Gay Duchess, by Rosicrucian. The Tetrarch has several times led the yearly winning sire list in England. Both he and Sunstar are among the most brilliant performers in the history of racing. La Dauphine will be bred this season to Luke McLuke.
