Won driving; second and third the same. VACUUM, close up from the start, passed LADY ROSK on the last turn and. taking a clear lead, held it gamely to the end. SIMPLICITY; raced into second place on the lafit turn and made a game finish. LADY ROSK set a good pace, but began tiring after gcjng a half itile. POOR SPORT had a rough race and, being interfered with repeatedly, had to come wide, but closed a bis gap. RUBY would not extend herself fully. CARPENTER tired in the stretch. BKNIGNA showed the most early speed and raced into a long lead, but began tiring in the stretch. JIM KENNEY raced forwardly all the way. ISAMAN had no mishaps. THE REAPEIt had a rough race. RAFFLES dropped far back in the first quarter, but saved an immense amount of ground on the stretch turn, where the leaders came wide, and. responding to hard riding, gained a lcng lead in the last fifty yards. FRANK G. showed fine speed in pacemaking, but when tiring began swerving out and just lasted to hold second place. LORENA MARCELLIA came fast near the end. LIEUTENANT FARRELL was close up to the stretch, but tired right at the end. RUCK POND set the early pace and ran well throughout. RED ARROW was always outrun. The latter showed the most early speed and appeared badly beaten on the stretch turn, but, rallying, was going well at the end. LLEWELLYN was rushed into the lead just before reaching the stretch, but tired near the end. BARRACUDA raced well. SOLISA and CALCUTTA were done after going a half mile. BUCADO tired badly. WHALEBONE quit after leading to the stretch. ASH LAND closed .1 big gap in the last qnarter. WATER GIRL tired in the stretch. MORMON ELDER showed the most speed for three-quarters, but quit badly. JUDGE BREUER ran well. BENDITA was outrun from the start.
