GREAT LUCK allowed VALOR to set the pace until rounding the last turn, where she forged to the front to hold VIRGINIUS safe at the end. The latter made a threatening challenge midway of the stretch, but could never quite overhaul the winner. VALOR showed the most early speed, but tired badly in the final eighth. POSTILLION, after being badly outpaced, came widu when turning for home and, finishing with a rush, just failed to get up. PORTO DE ORO began fast and ran a gcod and game race. MY DADDY closed a gap. DAN HOGAN raced DAINTY LADY into defeat, then drew out into a long lead, but wa tiring fast through the final seventy yards and had to be hard ridden to win. PIEDRA, after being a distant follower, came with a great rush and was rapidly wearing the winner down. DAINTY LADY showed a good order of speed, but tired in the final drive. THE LAMB was repeatedly in close quarters on the inside and quit finally. PENWELL ran out on all the turns while showing speed.
