INDIAN TRAIL was a forward contender fn m the start, but tired in the final sixteenth. TESTER showed much early speed and took the lead, hut tired when challenged. PRAINSTORM ran a good race. SUN AUDIENCE set the caily pace and ran well. PETER KING was not persevered with when beaten. The latter, away first, was taken under restraint and, racing in closest pursuit, made a challenge on the stretch turn, but could not, get up. BYRON raced well throughout aud had no mishaps.
