Pierre Wer-theimers Kpinard made his first start as a four-year-old at Longchamps yesterday in • the Prix dArgenteuil and he scored such an easy victory that it virtually amounted to a walkover. Only three other horses atarted in the race. The lnx dArgenteuil is a seven-eighths of a mile race. !uy Garner was away poorly with Kpinard and he made no effort I to make up the lost ground for five-eigbths. When he gave the edit hi.s head he rushed quickly to the front and won pulling up by four lengths from Almaviva, on which Stephen Doaoghue had tin- mount. The other two horses were distant followers.
