MAINMAST was moving up to the leader at the half mile post when he stumbled and went to his knees, then came again after he got settled in his stride and, easily taking the lead in the List sixteenth, was going away at the end. SKYSCRAPER neiran qnickly and set a fast paiv, but tired when challenged by the winner. SUPPLIANT ran well and lini.-hed gamely. WEDDING PRINCB ran well, but was made too much use of in the early running and came wide when entering the honiesretch. QUICK TIME and ARRAOOSA tired after alternating in paccmaking. NORMANA forced a fast early pace, but tired after passing BLCEMONDAI.E and taking the lead. SO IT GOES was knocked about all the way and tired in the last quarter. JLNE FLY can do much better. BLLEMONDALE set the pace to the far turn and quit.
