DATES FOR MIAMI MEETING New Winter Track to Have Fifty-One Days of Racing From January 15 to March 14. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 14. Officials for the meeting of the Miami Jockey Club, with dates and other data, was announced here this afternoon. There will be a disbursement of purses averaging ,500 a day for the fifty-one days of the meeting, which will begin Thursday, January 15, and close Saturday, March 14. The names of the officials for the meeting were made public after Luke Cassidy, general manager, had arrived and conferred with Joseph M. Smoot, president, and John I. Day, director, member of the executive committee and presiding steward. The stewards will be John I. Day, Henry J. Morris and John H. Campbell. The judges at the finish will be John S. "Wallace and Al Burlen. The starter will be Mars Cassidy. AI Burlen will be clerk of the scales and the timer will be Charles Hughes. The paddock judge will be Steve B. Billings and the patrol judge AVilliam Dugan. John B. Campbell will be racing secretary and handi-capper. The Pinkerton National Detective Agency will have charge of the gates and the policing of the grounds. Mr. Cassidy was only here for the day, but booked reservations for some of the leading stables now racing at Saratoga, and announced that the stables were all completed and that accommodations would be ready for shipments on November 1.
