TRY AGAIN raced well in the going and, after interfering sharply with contenders on the first turn, took the lead and, saving much ground when coming into the stretch, finished fast and outstayed PILLAGER. The latter came past the others on the stretch turn and finished with a rush. STAR SWEEPER was forced back sharply on the last turn, but finished well through the stretch. CLIQUE acted badly at the post, but closed a gap after making a slow beginning. UP AND AT EM was done after going a half mile. Scratched S2292JWill Wells, 115; S241G Special, 115; Dr. A. Ii. The latter raced close up for the entire race and lost ground when turning into the stretch, but finished fast and gamely. CIIAMPLAIN was well ridden and came fast in the stretch and finished well. BROTHER JOHN showed the most early speed and finished well after being pasted in the stretch. EVERGLADE closed a gap and came fast in the stretch under hard riding. RED WINGFIELD, good in such going and racing kindly, raced into the lead in the first quarter and, shaking off BILLY STAR, drew away in the stretch, to win as his rider pleased. BILLY STAR ran a good race and finished gamely, but began tiring in the last eighth. ETHEL CLAYTON raced gamely, but as if she was handicapped by the going. ANGELINA quit. HAROLD K. was done after going three-quarters.
