IRISH FRIEZES SPEED WINDSOR. Ont., Aug. 25. Irish Frieze, a three-year-old by Irish Maring Vestment, one of the young horses recently imported for the Prince of Wales establishment in Alberta, the "E. P." Ranch, won his first start at Brighouse Park, Vancouver, B. C, according to word received here by judge Francis Nelson. He did not make an impression by his looks but had speed enough to run the first half mile of his race in 48 and finished the five-eighths pulled up in 1 :02, five lengths in front of the second horse. Irish Frieze ran in the name of Fred Johnston of Calgary, who has leased him for the racing season.
