Twenty Years Ago Today Chief Turf Events of August 26 304 J Racing at Saratoga, Hawthorne, Highland Park, Detroit, arid Fair Grounds at St. Louis. Fourteen youngsters of high degree are named to start for the Futurity tomorrow. Homesteads victory in the closing race Tuesday at Saratoga, which was run on the turf, was due solely to Fullers brilliant work in the final drive. Keynote was pounds the best horse, but it was Sperling against Fuller and Homestead won by a nose in tha very last stride. The few inches that Keynote was beat lost for John A. Drake and John W.
