SARATOGAS RECORD GATE Saturdays Attendance Largest in History of Track Celebrate Eugene Leighs Birthday. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. T., Aug. 25. The attendance last Saturday was the largest ever enjoyed by the Saratoga Association. It was a source of pleasure to Mr. "Wilson and the other gentlemen in the management of the track that the bulk of the increase, in the attendance was in the grandstand section. There was a noticeably large attendance of women, the stand not being able to .seat all that wished to occupy it. Eugene Leigh has been the recipient of a lot of attention since his arrival in this country. On Sunday night he was the guest of honor at a joint birthday party tendered by Mrs. Frank J. Moore of Circular Street, the other guest being her husband. Mr. Leigh, was to be 63 the next day, and Mr. Moores birthday was on Saturday. The happy thought to celebrate both occasions was put into effect by Mrs. Moore, whose guests included George H. Bull, John Walters, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Rogan II., Mr. and Mrs. William C. Oakenden, Captain and Mrs. W- J. Roddy, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Moneuse, Mrs. Timothy F. Sullivan, Miss Kathryn McCallion, Arthur Frebeck, Edward Fitzgerald ONeill and C. J. Fitzgerald. Eugene Leigh and Frank Moore are old friends and they will have cause to remember the party given in their honor.
