The coming meeting will mark the first appearance of the R. L. Baker colors on the Kentucky tracks in over eighteen months. During that period the stable has been campaigned on the far western tracks. Al Woodman got in from Toledo with the horses Who Knows Me, Frank Gailor, London Smoke and Rapid Traveler. The stable of S. N. Holman in the care of Cecil Howard is an arrival from Windsor. Jack Weavers three-year-old Colonel Gil-more, which gave such promise in the early spring, will not be seen under colors this fall. He went wrong about a month ago and has had the firing irons applied to his legs. Col. Andrew Vennie, resident manager of Churchill Downs, arrived today and will remain until after the inaugural days at Latonia. Over a fast track many useful works were witnessed at Latonia this morning. Chil-howee ran a half mile in 49, In Memoriam a quarter in 23, Bourbon Boy a mile in 1:40 and Cream Puff, S. J.
