SUAVE PRINCE began fast and showed high speed in swift pacemaking for five-eighths, but began tiring in the last eighth and just lasted to win. CLOUGHJORDAN was going fast at the end and would have won in a few strides more. JUPITER also came with a rush through the stretch and finished well. MAMOUD gained steadily through the stretch, but swerved to the inner rail in the last sixteenth. CAPTAIN MARTIN ran well, but is an awkward running racer and swerved badly in the stretch.
