Won driving; second and third the Fame. SUN POLLY followed the leaders closely until in the homestretch and, finishing fast in the middle of the track, took the lead and was drawing clear at the finish. SLOW AND EASY ran a good race, but tired after taking the lead in the stretch. MIDINETTE ran like a good filly, began slowly, but gained steadily and was running fast at the end, after saving ground when entering the stretch. NORMAL began slowly and was cased back when going to the first turn, then worked his way up on the inside on the backstretch and, racing into a long lead, won in a canter. SOUTH BREEZE was much used in forcing the pace and tired when the winner challenged. WIDGEON showed the most early speed, but tired. VICE-CHAIRMAN ran wide on most of the turns and finished fast on the outside. EPISODE ran w.ell to the stretch. NOEL moved up on the outside after entering the homestretch and, finishing fast in the final drive, held FLYING CLOUD safe. The latter began slowly and tired after making a rush at the head of the homestretch. WILL LAND began well on the outside, but dropped back while rounding the far turn. CHINK was a forward contender all the way and made a game finish. GYMKHANA raced well, tut tired. TRIP LIGHTLY began well, but immediately dropped to the rear.
