HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES HAVRE DE GRACE, Md..J5erj:9. Racket was claimed from F. J. Boyle on Saturday by F. J. Buckels for ,400. Dr. F. "V. Asche was an arrival from Omaha. He will remain here for the remainder of the Maryland meeting:. Harry Pearsall has taken up the plater By Jove, which has been turned out at the Tubbs Farm near here since last spring;. Shuffle Along-, the crack sprinter in the A. C. Bostwick stable, was an arrival from New York Saturday morning;. Major "White has arranged to go into winter quarters at Belmont Park this year Instead of at Laurel. Frank Farrar took the three-year-old filly. Sun Lady, from W. S. Kilmer after she won tho third race Friday. He acquired her via the claiming route for ,400. Hal Stevens, the major domo of the different privileges at Havre and all of the other Maryland tracks, except Pimlico, is here from New York. James Rowe has changed his plans and will not ship to Maryland for a couple of weeks. Eight of the Whitney horses are on the ailing list at Belmont Park. Arrangements are being made with the steamship company running from Baltimore to Miami to ship the horses from here direct to the Florida city. P. E. Fitzgerald is here with the string he raced in Canada all year. Rush Padgett who has been campaigning at the smaller meetings is another arrival. Jockey Sharpe, who rode with much success in Canada, was a welcome addition to the riding colony. He is here with the C. B. Shafer stable which holds a contract on-his services. Dr. G. E. Mcintosh has been quite busy since tho meeting opened. Yesterday he gelded Wrangle for Frank Farrar and applied the firing irons to Sarah A., who was troubled with bad knees. A notice was posted in the secretarys office warning owners and trainers against harboring the apprentice Stanley Strettom, who had left the employ of W. M. Caywood without the latters written consent. Reports from Laurel are that three new stables have been erected and a new road built from- the track to the National Highway for the use of motorists going in the direction of Baltimore.
