FAIR GROUNDS OFFICIALS John Dymond, Jr., president and general manager of the Business Mens Racing Association of New Orleans, passed through Chicago on his way to New York. He will return to New Orleans by way of Latonia and go over with prominent horsemen the winter racing at the Fair Grounds which opens January 1. "While here Mr. Dymond went over with his assistant, Joseph A. Murphy all details of the coming meeting. He announced that as usual no purse less than ,000 will be offered but there will be only six races a day, in line with the policy of other leading associations to curtail their racing. Mr. Dymond announced the following officials for the winter meeting at the Fair Grounds: John Dymond, Jr., general manager; Joseph A. Murphy, assistant to the general manager and presiding steward; Herman P. Conkling and C. W. Hay, associate stewards ; Joseph McLennan, John Carey and John Stone Ware, placing judges ; Wm. Snyder and Wm. Hamilton, starters; Joseph McLellan, racing secretary; John Carey,! clerk of the scales ; Francis Dunne, paddock judge ; Dr. Hamlet Moore, veterinarian. j
