GORGET was hard ridden for the entire race and, taking the lead soon after the start, set a fast pace, but had to be ridden hard in thi last eighth to keep in front. DUSTY MARY raced in closest pursuit for the entire race and only began tiring in the last seventy yards. UPROAR dropped back in the first eighth, but gained steadily after reaching the stretch and was going fastest at the end. HITRUMP ran well. KEEGAN was always outrun. Won easily; second and third driving. NOGALES moved up with a rush in the last quarter and, taking the lead in the stretch, drew away in the last eightli to win going away. CHERRYCOTE showed the most speed to the last turn, but tired in the stretch. BEAN KING closed a gap and finished gamely. JOHN HAGER tired after racing well for seven-eighths. WATCHFUL was repeatedly forced back. STATLEIt acted badly and unseated his rider twice and ran away a half mile before the start, but showed some speed in the race. Scratched 84162 Magic Wand, 112.
