PERNIAS RIDING FEATURES Cuhan Jockey Pilots Four Winners at Brooklyn Park Athanna Scores Third Victory. CLEVELAND, Ohio, Oct. 15. After being outpaced during the early stages B. F. Mc-Clains Seths Ak-Sar-Ben took the measure of some good sprinters in the handicap, fifth and feature race- at Brooklyn Park this afternoon. The winner raced around the leaders after going the first half mile and handily retained a length advantage during the stretch run. Closing up from the rear in the final eighth. The Plainsman outgamed Last One for second place. Jewell V. D., after racing Cave "Woman and End Man into defeat, tired during the stretch run. The riding of the Cuban jockey, O. Pernia, was a feature. He piloted four winners, two of them for the stable of J. McMillen, Marie Dattner and Jim Kenney, and both led by wide margins throughout. Foster Embry also won with much to spare, but it required Pernias best efforts to bring Jaunebar from the rsar in the stretch to earn the verdict in the second race. Athanna scored her third consecutive victory here for S. Polk when she led by a comfortable margin throughout the third. Boys Believe Me also showed the way at all stages of the fourth race. Favorable conditions again prevailed and a good crowd was in attendance. S. Jones claimed Jaunebar out of the second rac for ,000 from. C W. Hall. A. "W. Garth took Jim Kenney from J. McMillen on his claim of ,C00 in the seventh race. John T. Ireland has been engaged by the Capital City Racing Association to serve as presiding steward during the autumn meeting at Beulah Park, Columbus, which opens a week from today. "W. R.
