MAD PLAYS FINE TRIAL LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 15. The Rancocas stables Mad Play was the sole Latonia Championship Stake candidate to be given work this morning. The fine son of Fair Play was sent a mile and half in 2:34, accomplishing his task in excellent style. La-vcrne Fator was in the saddle, and rated the colt for the first mile, then let him run in the final quarter. The work created a favorable impression among the watchers. He ran in the following fractions : 24, 43 1:14, 1:41, 2:07, 2:34.
