CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 25. Blushing Maid, Dorius, Menthol, Midnight Rose and Compact have been added to starter Snyders schooling list Ilarned Brothers and Jones have sold the contract on jockey W. Fronk to M. F. Shapoff. Jockey Harveys injury was found to be graver than at first supposed, for it was discovered that he had a fracture of his leg. He is confined to a local hospital. Jockey Parke will, at the close of New York racing, go to his home in Idaho and rejoin Mose Goldblatts stable at New Orleans I in time for tho opening at Jefferson Park. j Ernest A. Pollard, former members of the State Racing Commission, came from his home in London, Ky., to witness this afternoons races. Allan B. Gallaher, who with his brother, J. C. Gallaher, owns the crack three-year-old Chilhowee, arrived from his home in Lexington for a few days racing. Desha Breckinridge, Lexington newspaper publisher and owner of the fleet two-year-old Kentucky Cardinal, came over to see the colt perform in the sixth race. J. Stone Ware, who has charge of the stabling at tho Fair Grounds, will arrive from New Orleans Monday to take applications from the horsemen here for stabling room at the Crescent City track. S. C. Nuchols leaves tonight for New York where he will conduct an auction sale of horses Tuesday at Empire City, under the auspices of the Fasig-Tipton Company. He will resume his duties in the Downs stewards stand Wednesday.
