HAVANAS WINTER MEETING Opens Nov. 29 and Continues for 100 or More Days Announce Purse Values and Officials. CIXCIXXATI. Ohio, Oct. 25 At a conference held in this city today, H. D. Brown, managing director of the Cuban-American Jockey Club, Havana, announced the list of racing officials and dates for the coming meeting, which opens Saturday, Xovember 29, to continue 100 days or more. All handicaps will bo of ,000 value or more, up to ,000, while the overnight purses will be 00 or over. Six races will be programmed each day until after the first of the year, when seven will be carded with special events for holidays, Saturdays antj Sundays. Frank J. Bruen will be general manager of the plant, II. D. Brown will be managing director and presiding steward, James F. Milton will be starter, and also will act as assistant manager. C. Cornehlsen will be the presiding judge with Sidney Bender assistant racing secretary and cleric of the scales. Martin Nathan-son, who for years has been associated with the track, will be associate steward with Goodloe McDowell, son of Thomas C. McDowell, special steward. The auditor is E. F. Krugel, who also will act as assistant secretary and treasurer. The other officers are W. W. Lyles, paddock judge ; Dr, F. W. Ashe, timer and veterinarian ; Lester Dean, patrol judge, and Martin Xathanson, C. Cornehlsen and W. M. Shelly board of han-dicappers. All obligations will be assumed by II. D. Brown, who will guarantee all purses and stakes. More than 500 horses are assured at this date for the meeting.
